The international conference on research capacity building for young researchers has been organized from 30th March – to 1st April 2022 under the GCRF COMPASS project at the Universities of Kent and Cambridge in the UK, and ADA University in Azerbaijan with the cooperation of the Centre of Excellence for European Studies in Baku, Azerbaijan. Gulnoza Ismailova, Head of the Tashkent Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence for European Studies, and Surayyo Usmanova, Team Leader of the Centre, made presentations at the international conference on behalf of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. The congerence covered major initiatives on Economic Development, Governance, Research Integration, Human Capacity Building, Education, and Civil Society Initiatives.
The workshop concept has attracted leading specialists in the relevant scientific and practical disciplines. GCRF COMPASS project at the Universities of Kent and Cambridge in the UK, and ADA University in Azerbaijan, have organised this meeting with the aim of creating a regional hub and network of excellence in interdisciplinary research capacity building. The full range of expertise, from academic research to in-service research capacity training, is of critical importance to a vibrant reform process underway in the Central Asia region. Prospects for further cooperation between the Centre of Excellence for European Studies at ADA University and the Tashkent Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence for European Studies were also identified.
