Bundan ko’zlangan asosiy maqsad O’zbekistonda xalqaro siyosat, mintaqaviy integratsiya jarayonlari, Yevropa Ittifoqi tadqiqotlari, Yevropa Ittifoqi-Markaziy Osiyo tadqiqotlari, Yevropa Ittifoqi-O’zbekiston munosabatlari sohalarida ta’lim va tadqiqotlarni qo’llab-quvvatlashdan iborat. Shu maqsadda tashkil etilayotgan Toshkent Yevropa tadqiqotlari markazi mamlakat bo’ylab siyosiy, iqtisodiy va huquqiy ta’lim va tadqiqotlarni muvofiqlashtirib, ilmiy-uslubiy markaz vazifasini o’taydi.
Uning nomidan ham ko’rinib turibdiki, loyiha savol javob atrofida O’zbekistonda va markazlari Evropa tadqiqotlar bo’yicha vakolat va bilim bosh nuqtasi bo’lishi da’vo: nima uchun Evropa Ittifoqi tadqiqotlar Evropa uzoqda joylashgan Markaziy Osiyo eng aholi mamlakat uchun muhim ahamiyatga ega. Unsurprisingly, bir u O’zbekistonda EI tadqiqotlar rivojlantirish uchun foydali yoki yo’qligini hayron mumkin. Bizning fikrimizda, albatta, bu ikki asosiy sababga ko’ra foydalidir.

“Teaching the EU Law in Uzbekistan…One could wonder whether it is useful to teach EU law in Uzbekistan. Certainly it is useful for two main reasons.Professor Gérard MarcouUniversity Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne Sorbonne School of Law
First of all, for those who will be involved in their professional career in exchanges with EU member States, it is necessary to know the rules of the European Single Market and the decision-making processes, and not only rules on relationships with third countries. Only if you understand the decision-making processes you can have an influence on the final decisions that are relevant for you.
Secondly, the EU is the most sophisticated regional integration system. The EU offers a rich experience from custom union to political integration. Studying this experience will be helpful to find out adequate forms of institutional cooperation in Central Asia.”
“The importance of EU-studies cannot be overestimated within as well as outside the European Union. The EU is not only one of the economically most advanced regions of the world and an extremely important trading partner. It is also a historically unique model for the integration of national economies into a single market based on the principles of democracy and the rule of law. The overall result has been peace and wellbeing of the people in the Union for many decades. EU law should therefore be studied everywhere. Teaching EU law, however, requires its own methodology and expertise. And it requires communication and cooperation among teachers from within and outside the EU. It is to be highly welcomed that this booklet provides an important contribution to the spreading of interest in teaching and studying EU law.”Professor Peter BehrensUniversity of Hamburg Director of the Institute for European Integration, Europa-Kolleg Hamburg
“The efforts of Prof. Khaydarali Yunusov to advance teaching and research activities on European integration studies in Uzbekistan are well known in the European Union. I have highest respect for the progress made in this direction by his personal work and that of his university. The University of World Economy and Diplomacy has been a pioneer in Central Asia in this regard. I am convinced that my Uzbek colleagues will exert every effort to further studies on European integration and the meaning of these expertiences for the future of Central Asia. The high quality of the scholarly work of Prof. Yunusov deserved global recognition and every support in being rooted in the academic landscape of Central Asia, one of the emerging regions of our common globe.”Professor Ludger KühnhardtUniversity of Bonn Director of the Center for European Integration Studies (ZEI)
