Master’s degree from Sophia Antipolis University (France) in 2000. PhD in Law (2009). The topic of PhD dissertation was “Legal bases of the relations between the European Union and Uzbekistan”.
Initiator, Coordinator and Chief executive of the Community co-financing grant “Jean Monnet Chair in EU Law and Politics” (Project number № 575001-EPP-1-2016-1-UZ-EPPJMO-CHAIR) for 2016-2019; “Teaching the European Union Law” within “Lifelong Learning Program (LLP) – Jean Monnet Programme, Key Activity 1 – EU Teaching module” [Project №: 200282-LLP-1-2011-1-UZ-AJM-MO] during 2011-2014 and “Support for education, information and research activities on European Union integration” within “Lifelong Learning Program (LLP) – Jean Monnet Programme, Key Activity 1 – Research activities” [Project №: 154227-LLP-1-2009-1-UZ-AJM-IC] during 2009-2010.
He served as a coordinator of UWED for the EU sponsored project “Strengthening and Energizing EU-Central Asia relations (SEnECA)” within the Programme “Horizon – 2020” – Research and Innovation under the call ENG-GLOBALLY-07-2017 - The European Union and Central Asia” [Agreement №: 770256 - SEnECA - H2020-SC6-ENG-GLOBALLY-2016-017/H2020-SC6-ENGGLOBALLY-2017] during 2018-2019.
He is currently teaching EU Law related courses for bachelors and Master students of UWED. Author of 70 publications on EU integration issues.

His role in the Project: As a Staff category II (Coordinator/Chief executive/teacher/senior researcher) according to ISCO-88 (COM), he is executive responsible for the Project on behalf of UWED. He coordinates all activities in both organizational and methodological concepts: Contacting European partners, arranging inter-institutional meetings, organizing events, drafting mid-point and final Progress Reports, preparing information and news for media-press and others belong to his competence. He is personal responsible for Website building process and secure consistent work of the Project website.
He is also team-leader of Work Group of Lawyers (WGL), and simultaneously, performs task leader position for legal teaching activities under Work Package I (L), being responsible for the implementation of a new specialized course “Substantive Law of the EU”. Finally, he will lead data-base building process and publish a Catalogue of Experts “Who is who in EU studies in Uzbekistan”.

Dr. Govherjan Yuldasheva

Senior lecturer and Doctor of Sciences (Habilitation) of UWED. She is currently teaching “Diplomatic and Consular Law” course for master students of UWED. Well known professor and author of 100 publications in International Law. He is the author of several textbooks and manuals.

Senior lecturer and Doctor of Sciences (Habilitation) of UWED. Graduate of Law Department, Kazan State University (Russia) in 1982. Doctor of Law (2008). Professor of Law (2016). Leading expert of UNESCO, WIPO, and WТO. Participant in more than 10 international research projects. Key-note speeches at more than 40 seminars and conferences.
She actively participated in the previous Jean Monnet project “Support for education, information and research activities on European Union integration” within “Lifelong Learning Program (LLP) – Jean Monnet Programme, Key Activity 1 – Research activities” [Project №: 154227-LLP-1-2009-1-UZ-AJM-IC] during 2009-2010 being team member of Work Group “Legal approximation of EU-Uzbek legislations”.
She is currently teaching “Diplomatic and Consular Law” course for master students of UWED. Well known professor and author of 100 publications in International Law. He is the author of several textbooks and manuals.

Her role in the Project: As a Staff category II (professional expert/senior researcher) according to ISCO-88 (COM)), she will participate in the Project as a member of Work Group of Lawyers (WGL) and task leader of legal research activities, properly being responsible for the research activities on “Development trends of the EU Law: experiences for Uzbekistan”. She will provide methodological support and direct research process and she is responsible for research outcomes’ publication of “The EU Law: formation, development and future prospects” (monograph). She will also contribute to the events and dissemination activities serving as a conferences-speaker and moderator of round table discussions.

Dr. Makhmud Makhamatov

Senior Teacher at Tashkent State Institute of Law. He teaches International Law of Treaties, Law of International organisations, Public International Law and Human Rights courses.

His role in the Project: As a Staff category II (professional expert/senior researcher) according to ISCO-88 (COM)), he will participate in the Project as a member of Work Group of Lawyers (WGL) and task leader of of legal events and dissemination activities. He is, properly, responsible for events and dissemination activities within Work Package I (L) organizing international and national level conferences, monthly roundtables and preparing briefs and press-releases.
Additionally, he will systematically update Project`s website data, Project`s news and secure interactive dialogues with followers. He will participate in data-base building process and in publication of a Catalogue of Experts “Who is who in EU studies in Uzbekistan”.

Dr. Akbar Ismanjanov

The teaching of EU Law and EU Trade Relations, European legal system within the framework of international investment law, European intellectual property law, and the legal framework of European Digital Single Market. Carrying out research on EU Law published in peer-reviewed journals and taking part in the European conferences involving various trade-related aspects of EU law.

His role in the Project: As a Staff category II (Coordinator/Chief executive/teacher/senior researcher) according to ISCO-88 (COM), he will assist in teaching “Substantive Law of the EU” course by participating in teaching process, giving guest-lectures, holding seminar-workshop discussions. Dr. Nozimakhon Gafurova

From 2017, she serves as a legal expert on Medical Law of Citizens Health Committee of the Parliament of Uzbekistan. Nozimakhon Gafurova is a member of the editorial board of the “Review of Law Sciences” (1st Scientific Journal of the TSUL accredited at the Higher Attestation Commission of Uzbekistan). She is a member of the Scientific, Scientific-Methodological and Scientific-Innovation Councils of TSUL.

Her role in the Project: As a Staff category II (professional expert/senior researcher) according to ISCO-88 (COM)), she will participate in the Project as a member of Work Group of Lawyers (WGL) and task leader assistant of legal research activities, she will contribute to research on “Development trends of the EU Law: experiences for Uzbekistan” by preparing research agenda, collecting sources and summarizing research results. She will also contribute to the events and dissemination activities taking part in roundtables, seminars, conference discussions.

Dr. Dildora Umarkhanova

Senior Lecturer at the Tashkent State University of Law (full time) and University of World Economy and Diplomacy (part time). She lectures International Law of Treaties, Law of International Organisations and International Criminal Law courses.

Along with sharing task responsibility with task leader, she will contribute directly to the events and dissemination activities serving as a conferences-speaker and moderator of round table discussions.

Mr. Alisher Pulatov

LLB with European Studies Bachelor’s degree in law and European studies from the University of Surrey in 2008, LLM in International law from Groningen University in 2009 and LLM in International Commercial Law from the University of Westminster in London in 2017.
He has extended understanding of EU topics from legal and political side. Current PhD dissertation topic is taxation of digital economy, thus current EU reforms is prime research topic. The teaching of Public law, Contract law and International Trade law. Carried out research on alternative dispute resolution, multinational corporation in the light of taxation issues from EU perspective, regulation of tax issues in digital economy from EU perspective. Worked in Law firms in UK and Uzbekistan, closely consulted EU companies in Uzbekistan. Provided legal service to local businessmen on EU export/import regulations.

Her PhD thesis was dedicated to gender equality issues and institutional mechanisms of women rights protection including European ones.

Her role in the Project: As a Staff category II (professional expert/senior researcher) according to ISCO-88 (COM)), she will participate in the Project as a member of Work Group of Lawyers (WGL) and task leader assistant of legal research activities, she will contribute to research on “Development trends of the EU Law: experiences for Uzbekistan” by preparing research agenda, collecting sources and summarizing research results. PhD in Law in 2019. The topic of her dissertation: “International-Legal Cooperation of Uzbekistan in the Sphere of Tourism Development”, the first dissertation written in English.
Visiting scholar at Elliot School of International Affairs of George Washington University (Central Asia Program, the USA) in 2019.

Her role in the Project: As a Staff category II (professional expert/senior researcher) according to ISCO-88 (COM)), she will participate in the Project as a member of Work Group of Lawyers (WGL) and task leader assistant for legal events and dissemination activities. Along with sharing task responsibility with task leader, she will dedicate herself to organization of international and national conferences, roundtables, seminars discussions held within Work Package I (L).
