Republican scientific-practical conference “Global processes and their influence on Central Asia” was held – Tashkent Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence for European studies

On May 5, 2022 a republican scientific-practical conference was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy with the participation of doctoral students on the topic: “Global processes and their influence on Central Asia”.

This conference was organized on the basis of the goals specified in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated January 28, 2022, “On the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026” and was dedicated to the research of trends, problems and perspectives of political, economic and legal processes in international relations and their impact on Central Asia and Uzbekistan, in particular.

The conference was held in the following sections:

  1. Political processes in international relations and their impact on Central Asia;
  2. Political events in world history and their role in development of civilizations and transformation of international relations;
  3. World economic trends and their perspectives in Central Asia;
  4. Current problems of international law and their solutions.

The scientific-practical conference was attended by doctoral students and independent researchers from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Institute of History under the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State Law university, Tashkent State Economic university, as well as staff members of the Institute for strategic and regional studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Development Strategy Center.

During the conference participants made presentations in the framework of their research and exchanged views.

The publication is planned to be printed as the outcome of the conference.
